We live in exciting times. Residential and commercial designs have never been more experimental or fresh; a mélange of contrasting elements and groundbreaking themes. At JADE, we bring exuberance and experience to each client to ramp up the everyday with amazing combinations. At every phase, we are at your disposal, providing impactful insights that will ultimate define you and your way of living. From clean to contemporary to curated, we’ll assist you in finding the perfect balance between livable and memorable.
History
Established in 2011, JADE started with a 2400 square foot showroom in the prestigious, The Shops of Canal Place, in downtown New Orleans. However, the desire to have a permanent location surrounded by beautiful landscaping and magical oak trees, led Jennifer back to her home neighborhood of Old Metairie. The Rabalais’ acquired a charming old house, which had been the home of two previous Interior Design showrooms, spanning over fifty years; JADE continues that legacy. In an area where history and antiques are treasured, JADE compliments those elements with lucite, brass, clean lines, and comfortable upholstery. As JADE continues to grow, you can find Bridal & Gift registry, Metairie’s only Visual Comfort Lighting showroom, and large spaces to showcase beautiful art pieces from local artists.
Leadership
JENNIFER RABALAIS
BUSINESS OWNER
For Jennifer, JADE represents her lifelong appreciation for the finer things in life. Even as a child, she had the uncanny ability to recognize exquisite quality, thoughtful design, beautiful craftmanship and superior materials. And that ability, combined with her unbridled passion, defines her mantra. “Your home is your refuge from the world. It’s where you live, raise a family, observe milestones and host intimate friends. So every object in your home should have meaning. And every fabric should stir your senses. For a journey of this import, it makes sense to seek guidance from passionate professionals, so that your living space is all that it can be. Every day, JADE strives to be that place.”
TINA LAGASSE
Lead Designer
Tina’s favorite? Seeing it all come together, that moment when vision becomes reality. “I love helping people meld their personal style with classic elements to create a timeless design they can enjoy for years to come.” A NOLA native and LSU graduate in Interior Design, Tina’s an admirer of all design. But thanks to influencers like Victoria Hagen and Barbara Berry, her sweet spot leans toward Organic Modern – the juxtaposition of clean lines with natural textures like stone, wood and brass for an atmosphere of contemporary comfort. An expert consultant in furniture, lighting and materials, she’s also a busy wife and mother of two daughters.
Staff
Sarah Crump
Associate Designer
With an interior designer mother and an architect grandfather, Sarah was born to design. Interning with JADE since 2018, upon graduating with a BID from LSU’s CIDA Program, it was a natural transition (and a wise move on our part) to officially bring her in. Energized by the abstract playfulness of Michelle Boudreau, Sarah loves the conceptual journey, pushing boundaries with colors and patterns until the ideal personalized style of her clients have emerged. In her free time, you’ll find her in a nearby coffee bistro, window shopping down Metairie Road or enjoying the dog park with her fur baby, Freddie.
Ashton RABALAIS Director of Marketing
With a lifetime surrounded by beautiful designs, brilliant designers and entrepreneurial parents, Ashton has a deep-rooted passion for connecting with people — and connecting people with the ideal style and furnishings for their home. An LSU grad with a degree in Marketing, she applies her high-energy and exuberant drive toward promoting the expertise and accomplishments of her family businesses. In her downtime, she’s a dedicated dog mom and devotee of NOLA nightlife.Ashley Young
Sales Associate
Our newest member brings a fresh perspective to the JADE crew. With a B.A. in Business and a minor in Marketing from UNO, Ashley honed her communications skills by wearing a lot of hats for a variety of industries. But it was her love of design that lured her back to school, where she earned her RID certification. Inspired by designers such as Hoppen and Wearstler, she became enthralled by the minimalist style, taking the “bare accessories of life” to create uncluttered spaces of function and efficiency. And on most Saturdays, you’ll find her right here at JADE!
